Latest Updates from Our Project:

HAPPY FRIDAY! More Progress!
about 1 year ago – Fri, Feb 24, 2023 at 09:03:06 AM

Hey Arthurians!

First off I wanted to thank everyone who has filled out their pledge manager on BackerKit already. We've had excellent participation so far with 85% of you having filled it out. It really helps up prepare order amounts from the factory. If you have not done so yet, we kindly ask if you can. If you need help or did not get the email from BackerKit, please message or email us and let us know. We will send you the link to your BackerKit pledge. ([email protected]

We are sort of in the guts of the Kickstarter now with the real work happening. I wanted to show off what we have been doing.

So, we have received our prototype of the measuring gauge and tokens from Sarissa Precision and we are SUPER happy with the print quality and beefy-ness of the MDF. We have one small tweak to make to the art and we will pull the lever on production with those.

If you have not added these on in the pledge manager, you're going to want to. This measuring gauge will be around for your grandkids to have as an adult.

Next up, our factory has finished the prototype of our box. We are VERY happy with it as well. We packed every ounce of this box with art, so even if you don't start painting immediately this box will look really nice sitting on the shelf, or doubles as a great storage box.

Forgive the slightly blurry image!

And this last month has been the beginning of mass production for miniatures and molds.... MOLDS MOLDS MOLDS!!

That's all I have for this update. The factory is currently working on printing all of the cards and tuck boxes, and we are busy making heaps of miniatures... We hope to have pics of the cards and we will for sure have pics of all the minis in the next update. Have a great weekend all!

It's Time for Surveys!
about 1 year ago – Fri, Feb 03, 2023 at 10:27:53 AM

Hey, what's up Arthurians! We have reached that time for surveys to go out to you! In lieu of using Kickstarter's survey system, we decided to go ahead and upgrade to BackerKit. Some of you might already have a BackerKit account and some might be new to this.

Beginning next week, you’ll receive an email from us with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards. Some of you will receive an email as soon as today as we conduct our "smoke test" to check that everything is working smoothly. If you are one of these early survey receivers, please let us know if something doesn't look right or you have questions.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://knights-round-table.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://knights-round-table.backerkit.com/faq.

Besides working on the BackerKit, we have been very busy working on everything else. Our master miniatures are finished and we are about to start making all of the production molds. Packaging samples are being sent to us as well as reference card samples. Below are the designs for the Box top and the Reference Card tuck box.

We are going to get back to work now! Please reach out to us if you have any questions about the BackerKit Surveys ([email protected] or message us here). Thank you all!!

2 Weeks into 2023!
over 1 year ago – Fri, Jan 13, 2023 at 07:32:39 AM

Hey Arthurians! As promised we will be keeping everyone updated on everything as we move forward. We have been busy little bees over here at "the Temple" and have some fun stuff to show.

Firstly, we finally received our funds from Kickstarter just after the new year. We quickly started placing orders for all of the materials we will need including a hefty order of pewter to the tune of 300 pounds! Below, we have Gog standing watch over the giants hoard.

We have also placed the order for all of our production molds. All of the master molds are already complete and we are working on prepping the master figures to make the production molds. The company we use was low on stock, so we bought what they currently had and will have to wait a couple weeks to get the remainder of them. That shouldn't affect timelines at all overall.

As soon as the Kickstarter was over, we reached out to our graphic designer Steve Beckett and got him busy on designing the Measurement Gauge and token art. We are over the moon with how it all turned out and are having Sarissa Precision make some prototypes for us to check the colors and print quality. Again, these will be full color printed on laser cut MDF, not cardboard. Your kids, kids will enjoy using these in games of Lion/Dragon Rampant and Song of Arthur and Merlin!  Here's the art...

Side A
Side B

If you forgot to add these to your pledge, don't worry. When we send out the survey you will be able to add these on if you would like.  Remeber, these come with a fun Dice pack so you can start playing right away. The dice pack will only be included with this Kickstarter. Once these are listed on the site, dice will be extra.

We also put our character illustrator back to working on the last of the characters for the card art. He should have them all finished up by the end of the month so we can start proofing them and get them off to the printers. These are not finished proofs, but here's a sampling of how they are looking so far.

We have set up a system of colors on the cards so that you can easily identify what a character is. Blue is for anyone in Camelot. Red is reserved for Knights of the Round Table. Purple will be for enemies of Arthur. Green will be used for Creatures, Animals, and Ethereal things.

As far as the Pledge Manager / Survey goes we are still not ready to send that out yet. When it is out, you will be able to add things on to your pledge and you'll get your shipping amount to pay.

We'll be back at the end of the month to update you again, until then.... Quest on!

Great Work EVERYONE!!
over 1 year ago – Mon, Dec 19, 2022 at 08:29:40 AM

Well, as you all know by now this project was a great success because of each of you! We are very excited to get going on all things "production" for this wonderful line of miniatures.

What's next?

Kickstarter usually takes about 2 weeks to deliver the funds into our account. As soon as that money is in the account we will start ordering bulk materials, packaging, and cards from all of our sources.  You will receive a survey from Kickstarter after the New Year to fill in your shipping address, pay shipping, select any add-ons and all of that.

So, right now is a great time for you to start planning out your color schemes, creating warband lists and reading up on your Arthurian lore while we get to work. We plan to update everyone every 2 weeks to let you know what's going on and what stage we are at. We'll also be transparent if one item or step is taking longer than expected.

If you have any questions at all you can stick them in the comments, message us, or email us at [email protected] ... we are here to help!

Thanks again for your support and have a very Merry Christmas a Happy New Year!!

3 More Days! AND... Arthur Defeats Mordred
over 1 year ago – Tue, Dec 13, 2022 at 09:50:05 AM

Firstly, there are only 3 more days! It's gone by very fast! We are very thrilled with this campaign and can't wait to start working on the next one (mounted knights!).

Secondly, some of you might have been following along on social media over the weekend, but we had a very nice battle between King Arthur and Sir Mordred using the fantastic Lion Rampant rules. I would assume that most of the backers of this campaign are wargamers and enjoy a nice little battle report. We are the same! We also wanted to show how miniatures from this campaign look with the other manufactures on the table. Miniatures represented on the table other than ours are: Medbury Miniatures (coming soon in metal by your truly!), Footsore, Fireforge, and some old Rackham.

The Forces of King Arthur

The Forces of Sir Mordred

Deployment was set and turn one began with Arthur advancing his troops towards the threat of Mordred in all directions.

After 2 attacks on Mordred, the Kings Horsemen did not fair so well unfortunately and routed off the table.

Tension builds in the town square as forces start to posture for their attack.

Mordred's elite come charging in...

On the left flank, Mordred's "Dirt of the Earth" were trying to fun a flank, but Arthur's superior tactics had something else in mind for them.

Arthur's unit along with his Elite Knights of the Round decided to run a pincer on Mordred's cavalry causing them to become battered over and over and eventually retreat off the table.

After routing Mordred's cavalry, Black Hearts, and Brigands, Arthur and his Knights trapped Mordred against the table edge causing him to eventually flee in shame as well!

Hope you enjoyed the little write up. We sure had fun playing this battle out and introducing new players to the rules.  Until the next update!
